I’m Candice Hammit. I am the proud co owner of Elixir-x-DV8
My career started at the age of 18 working for a very talented and education-based salon. I’ve trained with Jacques Dessage educators, where I learned the French method of cutting, Chris and Sonya Dove, where I learned to be creative with color and cutting, and endless classes with Aveda. After many hours (years!) invested in training, my passion for helping others learn the trade helps me continue to grow.
Lisa and I wanted to create a place to share our passion for hair and pass along our knowledge of being creative yet still professional. It has been a joy to meet so many wonderful and talented people in the process and to see them grow.
I love making people feel beautiful and showing them how to look their best and still keep it modern. When I’m not in the salon, I’m raising three wonderful boys. All completely different but amazing in their own ways. One is destined to be a filmmaker, another is in the Navy, and we call my youngest “the golden child.” I’m a huge football fan, college and pro, and have learned to love the game of lacrosse as well. On the weekends, I enjoy reading, movies, supporting my sons many sporting events or boating with my hubby and spending time with our close-knit family.
